Upcycling and recycling are current buzz words in the design world, as we strive to live greener lives. And it is this ethos or mentality which has led to the creation of these beautifully crude characters, crafted by Danish designer Nina Tolstrup, from the offcuts of her furniture designs. Nina set up her design studio back in the year 2000, and has produced some beautiful and inspiring furniture designs. The creatures that inspired this post literally crawled out of the studio bin, made from interesting leftover materials in there and have taken on lives of their own. Very well fitting from a studio that puts recycling and up cycling as a priority. Find more from Nina's website: www.studiomama.com.
